Error 1919 Patches

This error is well known to the Microsoft Office support group and results from uninstalling Corel products from the system. They inadvertantly, remove some of the ODBC keys and components. You can read about it in this article.

Try to click on ignore and see if you can get through this error each time. If that doesn't work, continue with these steps. Each time you install, click ignore to the message. It may take numerous times.

First, choose your operating system and it's directory name from the list. Click on both of the .reg files to apply them to your registry. REG files are special files that immediately update your registry. It is advisable to back up your registry before applying them. To backup the registry, click on Start > Run and enter regedit. Press OK. Choose the export option from the menu item on the top left and back up the entire registry to the desktop.

After applying these keys and attempting to install Excel again fails, download and install MDAC 2.6. Then try to install Excel again.
